Department of Public Health must conduct a study on mold and mold spores in multi-unit dwellings throughout Massachusetts

Study scope includes evaluating the feasibility of complete mold elimination, examining causes of excess moisture that promotes mold growth, and analyzing other states' laws on dangerous mold standards

At least one public hearing required as part of the study process

Final report with recommendations, proposed standards, and draft legislation due to the Joint Committee on Public Health, House and Senate Ways and Means committees, and chamber clerks by December 31, 2026
