Physicians, dentists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and dental hygienists who practice in gateway municipalities for over 10 years become eligible for tuition reimbursement equal to 10% of their total undergraduate, dental, medical, or nursing school tuition

Gateway municipalities are defined as cities with populations between 35,000 and 250,000 that have below-average median household income and below-average bachelor's degree attainment rates compared to the state

Eligible professionals must be licensed in Massachusetts, work physically in a gateway municipality health care facility, and have attended a school located in the United States

Health care facilities include hospitals, ambulatory centers, behavioral health centers, skilled nursing facilities, treatment centers, diagnostic labs, and rehabilitation centers

Program funding is subject to appropriation by the legislature
