Massachusetts Department of Public Health would establish a pilot program allowing psychedelic-assisted mental health treatment for clinically appropriate patients in supervised licensed mental health clinic settings

No more than 3 licensed mental health clinic facilities may receive pilot permits to participate in the program

Eligible facilities must focus exclusively on mental health and cannot be affiliated with cannabis organizations, psychedelic molecule development companies, or pharmaceutical companies

Participating clinics must track patient outcomes data for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorder treatment, and share this data with the department to develop clinical protocols and regulatory frameworks

Department of Public Health must establish regulations covering clinic participation standards, patient assessment, clinical staffing requirements, coordination with outside prescribers, and psychedelic storage and administration procedures
