Town of Swansea may grant up to 6 additional on-premises alcoholic beverage licenses for establishments located within the "Swansea Mall Redevelopment Area," notwithstanding standard state liquor license quotas under Chapter 138, Section 17

Licenses are restricted to the Business B District along Route 6 (from Gardner Neck Road to Milton Reiser Road) and the area extending approximately 3,900 feet north from Routes 6 and 118 to the Swansea Mall

Licenses may only be used in dining rooms of common victuallers and cannot be sold, transferred, or moved outside the designated redevelopment area

New applicants may receive a returned or revoked license if they provide good-standing letters from the Department of Revenue and Department of Unemployment Assistance

All licenses must be initially issued within 3 years of the act's effective date; the act also repeals Chapter 151 of the Acts of 2019 (the previous authorization)
