Authorizes Christopher Francis Cachat to continue serving as interim fire chief of the Dalton Fire District until age 70, his retirement, or removal/suspension by the board of water commissioners, whichever occurs first

Requires Cachat to remain physically and mentally capable of performing job duties, with the fire district paying for medical examinations by a board-designated physician if requested

Prohibits retirement contribution deductions from Cachat's compensation under Chapter 32 of General Laws for service after age 65

Guarantees Cachat a superannuation retirement allowance calculated as if he had retired at age 65, regardless of when he actually retires

Takes effect immediately upon passage
