Mandates health insurance coverage for acupuncture and oriental medicine-based diagnosis and treatment for pain management, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance abuse treatment, and nausea across all policy types

Extends coverage requirement to Group Insurance Commission plans for active and retired state employees

Prohibits insurers from differentiating reimbursement rates for acupuncture services by provider type and limits reimbursement to licensed acupuncturists or medical doctors only
