Repeals Chapter 451 of the Acts of 2016 and establishes new benefit payment authority for the New Bedford Police Association, subject to board of directors approval

Authorizes $24,000 death benefit payment to beneficiaries of active-duty police department members who die while in good standing with the association

Provides retirement/resignation benefits for disability pensioners equal to the greater of $150 per year of membership (up to 20 years) or $1,000

Allows members with at least 10 years of membership or disability pension to receive the greater of $3,750 or $375 per year of membership (up to 20 years), with this amount reducing other applicable benefits

Establishes $12,000 death benefit for beneficiaries of retired members (less prior disability/10-year payments) and $3,000 spousal death benefit for members in good standing
