Saugus retirement board authorized to increase the accidental disability retirement allowance for Christopher Taylor, a retired Saugus police officer totally and permanently incapacitated from injuries sustained on duty on August 6, 2020

Annual pension set equal to the regular compensation he would have received if he had continued as a police officer at his retirement grade, until death or mandatory retirement age, with payments non-taxable to the extent allowed by law

Taylor may earn up to one-half of his retirement allowance annually from other employment without penalty; upon reaching mandatory retirement age, pension converts to 80% of his compensation rate

Entitled to indemnification for all hospital, medical, and related expenses incurred after retirement resulting from his duty-related injuries

Surviving spouse to receive 75% of Taylor's pension until death; if both Taylor and spouse die before children reach age 18, benefits pass to surviving minor children, with extended payments for incapacitated children or full-time students under age 22
