Authorizes the Committee on Public Service to conduct an investigation and study during the General Court recess regarding House document No. 2800, which concerns waiving the maximum age requirement for original appointment of police officers in the Town of Stoneham.

The underlying petition (H.2800) was filed by Representatives Michael S. Day and Jason M. Lewis at the request of the Town of Stoneham by town vote.

Committee must file its findings, recommendations, and any draft legislation with the Clerk of the House of Representatives by December 31, 2026.
