Adopts the Uniform Interstate Depositions and Discovery Act, allowing parties in out-of-state litigation to obtain subpoenas in Massachusetts by submitting foreign subpoenas to superior or district court clerks along with a Massachusetts subpoena, party contact list, and filing fee

Permits Massachusetts-licensed attorneys retained in foreign actions to directly issue subpoenas without going through the court clerk process

Requires Massachusetts subpoenas to incorporate the foreign subpoena terms, include contact information for all parties, and list the case caption, docket number, and issuing court information

Applies Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 45 to all subpoenas issued under this act, including service requirements and procedures for protective orders, enforcement, or motions to quash

Takes effect January 1, 2027 and applies to discovery requests in cases pending as of that date
