Applies to communications paid for by candidate campaigns, political action committees, political issue committees, political parties, or persons using political contributions that are intended to influence elections or ballot propositions

Adds statutory definitions for "artificial intelligence," "generative artificial intelligence," and "synthetic media" to Massachusetts election law (Chapter 50)

Violations are punishable by fines up to $1,000, and compliance does not shield violators from other civil or criminal liability under existing law
