Each school district must appoint at least 1 full-time school psychologist and at least 1 full-time school social worker to serve K-12 students

School psychologists would conduct mental health evaluations and screenings, inform parents and teachers of student conditions, train staff on interventions, and make recommendations on school mental health environment

School social workers would provide psychosocial assessments, diagnose mental and behavioral disorders, develop treatment plans, conduct crisis and lethality assessments, and deliver short and long-term psychotherapy

School social workers would also serve as liaisons between parents, students, schools, and the community

Department of Elementary and Secondary Education must promulgate regulations to implement the requirements
