When a child with a disability receiving special education at an approved private day or residential school moves to a different school district, the former district's school committee must continue paying the approved budgeted costs for the remainder of the fiscal year

Covered costs include tuition, necessary transportation, safety expenses, and inspections for the placement

Applies to placements in approved private day schools, residential schools, and pediatric nursing homes
