Amends Section 54B of Chapter 71 of Massachusetts General Laws to allow school nurses or physicians to delegate low blood sugar treatment and symptom monitoring for type 1 diabetic students to trained health aides under direct nurse supervision

Requires all parenteral medication delivery (insulin via pump or syringe) to be administered only by a licensed school nurse per 105 CMR 210.00

Permits glucose monitoring via finger stick and insulin delivery in classrooms by licensed school nurses when approved by both the student's family and physician

Mandates placement of students with diabetes in classrooms that already have a health or instructional assistant supporting other students
