Massachusetts Geographic Alliance added to the Council on Global Education membership

Establishes an 8-member Commission on Geography Education, chaired by the Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education, with appointees from workforce development, teachers unions, universities, and the geo-technology and alternative energy industries

Commission tasked with assessing K-12 geography education status, reviewing best practices including national geography standards, and evaluating professional development opportunities for teachers

Commission must report findings and legislative recommendations to the General Court by December 31, 2025, and convene within 90 days of the act's effective date
