Facilities must submit medical director information to the Department of Public Health, including criminal history, resume, and proof of certification, with changes reported within 10 calendar days

Falsely representing oneself as a certified medical director is punishable by a fine of at least $500 or up to 6 months imprisonment, or both

The certification requirement is a 10-year pilot program: the Department must submit a report by January 1, 2033 with recommendations, and Sections 1-4 automatically repeal on January 1, 2035
