Establishes a 6-member deer population control commission to identify best practices for managing deer populations in Bristol, Plymouth, Barnstable, Berkshire, Hampden, Worcester, Franklin, and Hampshire Counties

Commission membership includes 1 state senator, 1 state representative, 1 rod and gun club representative (appointed by MA Bow Hunters Association), 1 Department of Agricultural Resources representative, 1 Department of Fish and Wildlife representative, and 1 licensed auto insurance broker

Commission must develop recommendations for controlling deer population statewide and methods to help farmers prevent and combat deer-related property damage

Findings, recommendations, and draft legislation must be filed with the Senate and House Clerks and the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture by March 1, 2024
