Police reports involving railroad fatalities and communications between police officers and railroad crew members must be kept confidential and not made public

Reports remain accessible via written request to the host railroad, the employing railroad of any employee mentioned, and persons authorized by judicial order

Law enforcement officers, district attorneys, and assistant district attorneys may access reports through written or electronic mail request

Violations are punishable by up to 1 year imprisonment, a fine of up to $10,000, or both

Adds new Section 253 to Chapter 160 of the Massachusetts General Laws
