Repeals Section 2(c) of Chapter 258C of the General Laws, removing an existing restriction on victim compensation eligibility

Sets maximum compensation for funeral and burial expenses at $15,000 for crime victims

Expands eligibility for funeral/burial compensation to legal guardians, dependents, family members, or any person who directly incurs these expenses related to a victim's death

Extends the filing deadline for victim compensation claims from the current timeframe to 5 years from the date of the crime
