Mandates pretrial detention for individuals charged with violent crimes who violate release conditions by committing a firearm-related offense, with the violation proven by clear and convincing evidence at a hearing

Requires detention for individuals charged with firearm offenses who violate release conditions by committing a violent crime as defined under Chapter 140, Section 121

Requires detention for individuals charged with firearm offenses who violate release by committing another firearm-related offense involving use or unlawful possession of firearms, rifles, shotguns, machineguns, or assault weapons

Limits pretrial detention to 120 days in district court and 180 days in superior court, excluding delays defined under Massachusetts Rules of Criminal Procedure Rule 36(b)(2)

Adds new Section 58C to Chapter 276 of Massachusetts General Laws governing bail and pretrial release procedures
