Herbert A. Chaffee, II, a Brookfield fire department member, may continue serving beyond age 65 until February 23, 2030, his retirement, or removal by the select board, whichever comes first

Continued employment requires Chaffee to remain mentally and physically capable of performing his duties

The town of Brookfield may require Chaffee to undergo a physical examination by a town-designated physician at the town's expense

No retirement contribution deductions under Chapter 32 will be taken from Chaffee's pay for service after age 65

Upon retirement, Chaffee will receive a superannuation allowance equal to what he would have received had he retired at age 65
