Grants accidental death benefits from the Boston Retirement Board to Rachel Marie Troy, surviving spouse of Mathew M. Troy, a former Boston firefighter who died from Cholangiocarcinoma contracted while performing firefighter duties

Provides a yearly pension equal to 72% of the firefighter's annual compensation at the time of injury or 72% of his average annual compensation for the 12 months preceding death, whichever is greater

Awards a lump sum payment equal to the total accumulated retirement deductions Mathew M. Troy paid into the annuity savings fund

Entitles Rachel Marie Troy to retain medical insurance coverage equivalent to what her husband would have received had he retired from the City of Boston

Takes effect immediately upon passage, notwithstanding existing provisions in Chapter 32, Section 9 of the General Laws
