The Cannabis Control Commission's model host community agreement template (created under Chapter 180 of the Acts of 2022) becomes mandatory for all cannabis businesses applying for or currently holding a license

Applies to any business entity certified with the Secretary of the Commonwealth seeking a commission license and the municipality where they are or plan to be located

Municipalities may formally propose amendments to host community agreements before the Cannabis Control Commission and the business entity

The Cannabis Control Commission must respond in writing within 30 days on whether proposed municipal amendments will be included in the final agreement

The Cannabis Control Commission retains authority to review, regulate, enforce, and approve host community agreements, and must publish any revisions to the model agreement online
