Newton may satisfy legal notice publication requirements through two or more digital options instead of mandatory print newspaper publication, creating an exception to Chapter 4, Section 13(b) of the General Laws

Approved publication methods include: print newspapers, newspaper websites, local news websites meeting state digital publication criteria, statewide notice repository websites, or city-wide notice repository websites

Applies to all Newton subdivisions, committees, boards, commissions, bodies, and officers required to publish legal notices by statute, ordinance, by-law, regulation, or judicial order

Existing timing requirements for legal notice publication remain unchanged
