Requires 1 labor organization representative selected from 3 nominees provided by the Massachusetts State Labor Council, AFL-CIO

Mandates 2 teacher representatives: 1 from nominees by the Massachusetts Teachers Association and 1 from nominees by the American Federation of Teachers/Massachusetts

Adds 1 parent representative from Massachusetts Parent Teachers Association nominees and 1 school committee member from Massachusetts Association of School Committees nominees

Includes 1 business/industry representative with demonstrated commitment to education and 4 additional at-large members appointed by the governor
