Requires school principals or superintendents to notify parents within 24 hours when local or state law enforcement is called to school grounds for arrests or safety activities beyond routine school resource officer duties

Notification must include the time law enforcement was called, the reason for the call, and the time officers departed, but must omit any information that could identify specific students or faculty

Applies to elementary and secondary public schools during regular school hours when students are present

Does not limit law enforcement authority to make arrests or delay urgent action to prevent bodily harm, apprehend suspects, prevent evidence destruction, or address emergencies

Amends Chapter 71, Section 48A of Massachusetts General Laws; takes effect upon passage
