Requires all health insurers in Massachusetts—including the Group Insurance Commission, MassHealth, commercial insurers, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and HMOs—to cover prosthetic and orthotic devices for physical activities and athletic purposes

Expands the definition of "prosthetic device" to explicitly include devices designed exclusively for athletic purposes, such as running blades or swimming prosthetics

Mandates coverage for custom-built or individually fitted prosthetics and orthotics to maximize the enrollee's ability to walk, run, bike, swim, and use upper limbs

Coverage must include repair and replacement of activity-specific prosthetic and orthotic devices

MassHealth members must obtain a written prescription from a licensed physician or nurse practitioner that includes diagnosis, medical justification, and member identification information
