MD HB1021

Prohibits the State Commission of Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Management Companies, and Home Inspectors from requiring a bachelor's degree or higher for real estate appraiser licensure or residential certification

Applies to two credential types: general real estate appraisal licenses (Section 16-302) and residential real estate appraisal certificates (Section 16-503)

Maintains all other existing requirements including minimum age of 18, good character, completion of 1,000-1,500 supervised hours, passage of examinations, and federal qualification standards under FIRREA

Amends the Business Occupations and Professions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland

Takes effect October 1, 2025
