Expands the definition of "corporation" under Maryland mortuary science law to include 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations exempt from federal taxation

Authorizes the State Board of Morticians and Funeral Directors to issue new licenses to qualifying not-for-profit organizations that have the stated purpose of practicing funeral direction, submit required applications, and pay Board-set fees

Allows not-for-profit funeral establishments to operate branch locations, removing the restriction that previously limited branch operations to establishments in operation before October 1, 1964

Requires not-for-profit funeral establishments to employ a licensed mortician, licensed funeral director, or holder of a surviving spouse license to own and operate the establishment

Takes effect October 1, 2025
