Department of Human Services must conduct a study to determine what types of State support (funding or otherwise) would be appropriate and beneficial to assist private providers of treatment foster care homes in delivering services

Treatment foster care homes are defined as out-of-home placement facilities providing intensive casework and treatment in family settings to children with special physical, emotional, or behavioral needs

Department must report findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by December 1, 2025

Act takes effect June 1, 2025 and automatically expires on May 31, 2026 with no further legislative action required

Original provisions for child care stipends to private treatment foster care homes were struck from the bill through amendments, leaving only the study requirement
