Replaces gender-specific pronouns (he, him, his, himself) with gender-neutral alternatives (the Governor, the Comptroller, themself, etc.) throughout multiple articles of the Maryland Constitution

Amends provisions covering the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Comptroller, Treasurer, and Adjutant General in Articles II, V, VI, and IX

Requires three-fifths approval from both houses of the General Assembly to place the constitutional amendment on the ballot

Amendment would be submitted to Maryland voters for approval at the November 2026 general election

Makes no substantive changes to the powers, duties, or qualifications of any constitutional office—changes are purely linguistic
