Requires health insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations that cover chemotherapy to also cover scalp cooling systems used to preserve hair during cancer treatment

Applies to all health insurance policies and contracts issued or delivered in Maryland that provide hospital, medical, or surgical benefits

Coverage mandate applies to both individual and group health plans

Takes effect January 1, 2026, applying to all policies issued, delivered, or renewed on or after that date
