Prohibits manufacturing, selling, delivering, holding, or offering for sale food in Maryland containing brominated vegetable oil (BVO), potassium bromate, propylparaben, or Red Dye No. 3, effective October 1, 2028

Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by fines up to $10,000 and/or imprisonment up to 1 year for first offense, or up to $25,000 and/or 3 years for repeat offenders

Civil penalties of up to $5,000 per day may also be imposed in District Court, with courts authorized to issue injunctions against continued violations

Applies to all food products including substances used as food, drink, or components thereof, as well as chewing gum and its components
