Creates an attestation pathway allowing individuals qualified to be child care teachers who lack proof of educational credentials to attest to their qualifying educational attainment

Requires the Maryland Department of Education to establish a process for implementing the credential attestation pathway

Removes previously proposed requirements that child care teachers hold specific degrees (associate's or bachelor's in early childhood education, nursing, social work, etc.) or earn a GED within 2 years

Applies to child care centers serving preschool or school-age children at least 3 years old

Takes effect July 1, 2025
