Department of State Police must submit Uniform Crime Reporting Program data to the Department of Legislative Services by November 30 each year, covering eight crime categories: criminal homicide, forcible rape, robbery, assault, breaking or entering, larceny/theft, motor vehicle theft, and arson

Required incident data includes offense type, date, county, zip code, location, arrest status, hate crime designation, victim and offender demographics (age, race, ethnicity, sex), law enforcement agencies involved, and case clearance status

Department of State Police must create a work plan to improve crime data collection, establish policies for measuring hate incidents and crimes more efficiently, and create procedures for victims to easily report suspected hate crimes

Department of Legislative Services must report to the Governor and General Assembly on the crime data and work plan by June 30, 2026, and annually thereafter
