Prohibits committing a crime of violence (as defined in § 14-101 of Maryland Criminal Law) in a medical facility or place of worship

Defines "medical facility" to include health care facilities under state law and agencies, clinics, or offices operated under local health officers or Maryland Department of Health regulatory authority

Defines "place of worship" as a nonresidential location where more than one individual assembles for religious or spiritual observance

Violation constitutes a felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment, in addition to any penalty for the underlying crime of violence

Sentences may be imposed separately and run consecutively or concurrently with sentences for the underlying crime; effective date June 1, 2025
