Garrett County may now enter contracts for goods or services procured on an as-needed basis over time without advertising for bids, even if the cumulative total exceeds $50,000

Vehicle purchases up to $100,000 are exempt from the newspaper bid advertisement requirement

Contracts over $50,000 still generally require advertising for bids at least one week in advance in county newspapers, with existing exceptions for emergencies and licensed professional services
