County boards of education must develop policies in consultation with parents, teachers, and school personnel to promote parental involvement, including plans for increasing school participation and improving cooperation on homework, attendance, and discipline

Parents gain rights to review all curricula, instructional materials, and teacher training materials via public website or written copies at cost, and must be informed about all school clubs and extracurricular activities

Parents may object and withdraw students from any school club, extracurricular activity, classroom instruction unit, or school assembly, and schools must obtain parental consent before a student uses gender pronouns not matching their biological sex

Schools must provide at least 5 days advance notice and obtain parental consent for family life and human sexuality instruction, and teachers are prohibited from withholding information about students' activities or physical, emotional, or mental health

Parents may file complaints with the county superintendent (who must respond within 14 days), appeal to the county board (decision within 30 days), and ultimately bring court action for continuing violations after exhausting administrative remedies; effective July 1, 2025
