Youth sports programs below high school level must maintain and annually update a registry of all personnel (coaches, officials, trainers, administrators, staff) including photo ID, criminal background checks, signed safety policy acknowledgments, and documentation of annual training in heat illness, concussions, child safety, and contact levels

Personnel must complete or renew registration annually before participating and display proof of registration to enter the arena of play during any athletic event, practice, or game

Programs must provide parents/guardians information on sports-related head injuries, traumatic brain injury in children, heat illness, and removal/return-to-play policies, with parents required to sign an acknowledgment of receipt

Programs must provide their removal and return-to-play policy to all personnel and parents, and post it on their website if available

Effective October 1, 2025
