Owners of fleets with five or more rental vehicles may register under a new alternative registration process or continue using the existing process under § 13–939.1

The Motor Vehicle Administration must issue distinctive "Fleet Vehicle" registration plates for rentals registered under the new process and may not require validation tabs

All rental vehicles in the same fleet should have registration expiration dates aligned to the same date, to the extent practicable

A one-time initial registration fee not exceeding $8.50 applies when new fleet vehicle plates are issued, in addition to the standard annual registration fee

Effective October 1, 2025
