State Department of Education must develop a list of similar boys' and girls' high school sports by September 1, 2025, in consultation with the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association, and update it every 3 years

County boards of education must ensure high school sports officials receive equal pay when officiating similar boys' and girls' sports in the same officiating role

County boards must reject bids or proposals for officiating services contracts that would result in different pay or fees for officials in similar roles for similar boys' and girls' sports

Sports are categorized as "similar" based on same season, comparable rules, similar number of officials, similar officiating services required, and comparable competition length

Existing contracts executed before July 1, 2025 may be extended to align timelines for similar boys' and girls' sports, but no later than July 1, 2029; effective date is July 1, 2025
