Expands the definition of "State personnel" under the Maryland Tort Claims Act to include employees of sheriff's offices in counties and Baltimore City, not just sheriffs and deputy sheriffs

Grants sheriff's office employees immunity from lawsuits in Maryland courts and from tort liability for actions within the scope of their public duties, provided those actions are made without malice or gross negligence

Aligns legal protections for administrative and support staff in sheriff's offices with those already provided to sworn officers

Takes effect October 1, 2025
