Amends Maryland Estates and Trusts Article § 8-105 to add unpaid child support as the 6th priority claim when a decedent's estate has insufficient assets to pay all claims in full

Unpaid child support now ranks after family allowance but before taxes owed by the decedent, giving it higher priority than medical expenses, rent arrears, wages, and general claims

Previously, child support had no specific priority and would have fallen into the "all other claims" category at the bottom of the payment hierarchy

Effective October 1, 2025; approved by Governor Wes Moore on April 22, 2025
