Extends the statute of limitations for theft of property or services valued under $100 from 2 years to 3 years after the crime is committed

Maintains the existing 2-year statute of limitations for theft of property or services valued between $100 and $1,500

Theft under $100 remains a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days imprisonment and/or a $500 fine

Effective date: October 1, 2025
