Allows parents to deduct an allowance from their income for other children living in their home to whom they owe a legal duty of support, if those children spend more than 92 overnights per year in the home and are not subject to the current support order

The allowance is calculated as 75% of the basic child support obligation for each additional child, using only the income of the parent claiming the deduction

Courts may decline to award the multifamily allowance if they find it would be unjust or inappropriate after considering the best interests of the child for whom support is being determined

Expands the factors courts may consider when deviating from child support guidelines to include any financial considerations relevant to the child's best interests, not just those specified in existing agreements

Takes effect October 1, 2025
