Prohibits sexually explicit materials in public elementary, middle, and secondary school libraries and media centers in Maryland

Defines "sexually explicit materials" as books, auditory, and visual materials containing graphic or obscene depictions of sexual activity that are not age-appropriate

Exempts materials used as approved instructional materials for family life and human sexuality instruction under the Maryland Health Education Standards

Requires each county board of education to adopt policies and procedures to implement the prohibition

Effective date: July 1, 2025
