Local school systems must provide parents of children with disabilities written information about transition services at the initial IEP evaluation meeting

Beginning the year a child with an IEP turns 14 years old, parents must receive written transition planning materials at a team meeting annually

Transition services include coordinated activities promoting movement from school to postsecondary education, vocational training, employment, adult services, independent living, and community participation

Information must be provided in the parent's native language if it is not English

Effective date: July 1, 2025
