St. Mary's County Metropolitan Commission may discontinue water or sewer service to private properties deemed unsafe, unfit, or unsuitable for human occupancy due to accidents, artificial disasters, or natural disasters

Ready-to-serve charges must be suspended when service is discontinued for disaster-related reasons and remain suspended until service is restored

Expands the Commission's enforcement authority to cover public water and sewer use, including lines, mains, appurtenances, connections, and discharges into public sewer systems

Removes the $1,000 cap on cost reimbursement assessments, allowing the Commission to recover actual costs for time and materials regardless of amount

Takes effect October 1, 2025
