Authorizes the Dorchester County Board of License Commissioners to issue alcoholic beverages licenses to establishments within 300 feet of a place of worship or school if the Board receives written consent from each affected institution

Current law prohibits new alcohol licenses for establishments within 300 feet (measured in a direct line to the main building) of places of worship or public/nonpublic K-12 schools

Existing exceptions to the 300-foot rule include premises licensed as of October 1, 1996, Class B licenses in Cambridge, Secretary, or Hurlock, and temporary licenses

Takes effect July 1, 2025
