Expands approved courses of study for expanded function dental assistant certification to include programs offered by the Dale Foundation (affiliate of Dental Assisting National Board) and Trapezio Orthodontic Assistant Training Solutions.

Requires initial certification courses to include at least 35 hours of instruction combining both online and in-person components, with the Board adopting regulations specifying hour requirements for each format and clinical hands-on training.

Establishes reinstatement requirements for expired expanded function dental assistant certificates: completion of continuing education, timely renewal application submission, and payment of renewal fee.

Mandates the Board adopt continuing education regulations for expanded function dental assistants, including clinical hands-on training, offered by state-based dental professional societies affiliated with national organizations and other approved entities.
